Sarne Branch, MSW

As a single mom of a teenager who was raised by her grandmother, Sarne has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by nontraditional, intergenerational families.  Her lived experience, coupled with her education, fuel her passion for helping others identify how family dynamics, past trauma and patterns of behavior impact their lives, and guiding them in exploring better ways of managing the cards they've been dealt.   Sarne is deeply committed to breaking down barriers to mental health services for underserved communities, and works to ensure that everyone, regardless of their background, sexual orientation or gender identity, has access to the support they need. She is dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, empathetic space for you to explore your mental health and well-being.

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University

Masters Degree in Social Work from Walden University

 

Experience:

Sarne is a Supervisee-in-Social Work under the clinical supervision of Kimberly Hines, LCSW and has nearly 10 years of experience providing mental health services to adolescents and adults from all walks of life. She uses a mix of  Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Mindfulness to help treat anxiety, mood disorders, cognitive distortion, and substance use concerns.​​
